Remember the Three Thais?

Thai trio wait and see
TOR CHITTINAND

The selling of Manchester City to the Abu Dhabi United Group for Development and Investment will not immediately affect the three Thai players on the club's books, according to an associate of former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra. Jimmy Haewsanti, who has been marketing manager of Manchester City Thailand, said the players _ Suree Sukha, Kiatprawut Saiwaew and Teerasil Dangda _ would remain on City's books for the time being and would receive their wages.
However, he said the players would have to wait and see if there is a change in policy by the new owners.
He said the setting up of the City Football Academy in Thailand planned by Mr Thaksin would also depend on the new owners.
Mr Jimmy said the former Thai coach, Carlos Roberto Carvalho who was in Thailand to find young players for City, had returned to Brazil.
Mr Thaksin will reportedly continue at the club as an a honorary board member.
