Wins for Persib and Persija

Persib v PSIS 3-1 (Hilton, Cabanas, Bastos; Gaston) 25,000
Persija v Arema 1-0 (Bambang) 16,543
Deltras v Sriwijaya 1-1 (Acosta; Obiora) 1,914
Persiba v Persiwa 0-0 2,500
Persitara v Pelita Jaya 1-1 (Ebendje; Cariastawan) 3,000

I had intended to get to the Persija game last night but the car lights weren't working. A great big bule driving round an ill lit Jakarta in a poorly lit car is just asking for trouble with Eid ul Fitri coming up. You get pulled over and the 'prices' have suddenly doubled or tripled.

Persib fans made the journey down to Jaluk Harupat Stadium in large numbers and were rewarded with their three foreigners netting and secruing three points. There seems no respite for the hapless PSIS who recently put their foreign players on notice. Ship up or ship out.

Persija returned to the top of the table thanks to Bambang's first half goal but they must be a bit concerned about the attendance at the Bung Karno Stadium. 9 pm kick offs aren't that user friendly but their rivals Persib managed to take more to their game.

Still, this Friday sees Persija take on Persik and by hook and by crook I will be there for that!

A suprise result last night in the SLeague where Sengkang Punggol took a point off Tampines Rovers at Hougang Stadium. Khairul Amri gave the Stags the lead but Simic made it 1-1 with a rare Dolphins goal.
