SAF Back in the Goals

Just when coach Richard Bok was demanding more his Warriors came up with the goods. Balestier Khalsa away may have looked easy on paper but football rarely gets played on such a fragile surface and 5-1 at such a crucial stage of the season sends a clear signal. SAF want a third consecutive title.

Thai Therdsak gave the visitors the lead after 10' before a Alex Duric penalty made it 2-0 at half time. Within a couple of minutes of the restart it was game over as Norikazu Murakami made it 3-0. Late goals by Therdsak and Duric either side of a consolation by Poh Yi Feng boosted SAF's goal difference.

SAF now lead the SLeague a point ahead of Home United and Super Reds who have a game in hand tomorrow against Albirex Niigata which should be intriguing.
