The Race For 3rd Place

Conventional wisdom has it that the end of the season sees clubs pulling out all stops to finish as best they can.

In Indonesia the Super League was finished so long ago most can't remember but there are still a number of clubs in the mix for second place which could after all earn a place in the AFC Cup.

Persib don't seem so keen though. Despite holding on to second place they have picked up just one point from their last two games, hardly the form of a team with things tngs to play for.

Sriwijaya are pretty much aping Persib's form. They drew 2-2 at home to Mitra Kukar earlier, another team in the mix, and compunded that by managing to lose 3-1 t home to Persisam for whom Lancine Kone netted a brace.

With three points separating Persib, Arema, Mitra Kukar and Sriwijaya things look pretty even but then Arema will be turning sumersaults down there in Malang after Persib and Sriwjaya sliped up.. They sit third and still have two games in hand.

Second place is almost going to fall in their lap with little effort expended on their part.
